Study Tour to Ruaha National Park 

During the review period, the College Students' Parliament, in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Students, organized a study tour of Ruaha National Park. The tour took place from 26th to 28th May 2023. A total of 85 leaders from all four organs of the student organization, including the Cabinet, Judicial Organ, Parliament, and Electoral Commission, participated in the tour.


The study tour aimed to provide a unique learning experience for the student leaders, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the natural environment, wildlife conservation, and the significance of national parks in Tanzania. By involving representatives from various student organs, the tour aimed to foster collaboration, teamwork, and a shared sense of responsibility among the student leaders.

Throughout the tour, participants engaged in a range of educational activities and experiences. They had the opportunity to explore the diverse ecosystems of Ruaha National Park through guided wildlife safaris, nature walks, and interactive sessions with park rangers and experts. These activities provided a firsthand understanding of the park's biodiversity, conservation challenges, and sustainable tourism practices.


By immersing themselves in the natural beauty of Ruaha National Park, the student leaders gained a deeper appreciation for Tanzania's rich biodiversity and the importance of safeguarding it for future generations. The study tour encouraged a sense of environmental consciousness, inspiring the student leaders to become advocates for sustainable practices within their respective roles and organizations.
