Auditing and Metrology Control of Fiscal Metering Systems for Oil and Gas (MET-SC 0519)
Course Details:
Course Title : Auditing and Metrology Control of Fiscal Metering Systems for Oil and Gas
Course Code : MET-SC 0519
Department : Legal and Industrial Metrology
Date : 22nd July to 27th July 2019
Place : College of Business Education, Dar es Salaam
Mode of Study: Theory, tutorials and site visit
Rationale of the course:
Auditing, Validation and metrology control of fiscal metering or custody transfer is extremely important when oil and gas transactions take place between the exchanging parties (supplier and the buyer). The flow measurement accuracy must be assured when money change hands. Payment made in custody transfer transactions is usually made as the function of the amount of fluid (oil or gas) transferred, so accuracy is paramount simply because a small error in measurement can cause huge financial losses. Therefore ‘’an inaccurate device can cost either the buyer or the seller millions of dollars, due to reading discrepancies’’
Target Delegates:
The course is of particular interest to the following groups of participants;
(i) Employee and contractors in oil marketing companies (OMCs) who involve in measurement processes, like deport managers, reservoir personnel, petrol station managers, instrumentation and control personnel, and fiscal metering surveyor.
(ii) Personnel working in government regulating and standard bodies for oil and gas, preferably WMA, EWURA, TPDC, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Energy, TPA and PBPA and metrology laboratories.
(iii) Engineers, Managers, Process personnel, financial staff, Auditing staff, Supervisors and technicians employed in oil and gas industries, mining companies who involve in instrumentation and control, industrial measurement process, oil reservoir management, calibration laboratory, fuel and lubricants supervision.
Course Fee:
The course fee of TZS 400,000 Or US$ 250.00 for Local / International Industrial delegates. The course fee includes breakfast and refreshments during the day. Accommodation is not included and must be booked separately. Payments should be done in advance. Please pay your fee through TANZANIA POSTAL BANK: Account Number 191504001632, Account Name ASSOCIATION CBE CONSULTANCY BUREAU.
